Exhibitions: Making It Manifest, Exposure to the World. . .
Dancers dance. Actors and musicians perform. Artists exhibit their work, To me, art is not totally visual — it's not a take-it-or-leave-it endeavor where stuff is simply placed before viewers who simply like or dislike what they see. In the visual arts, interaction with colleagues, curators, writers, reviewers, collectors and the public — positive, negative, excessive or lacking, profoundly affects the whole of what and who artists are. Exhibitions are a part of this whole.
