ARCHIVES PAGE ONE Lines, Objects, Towers, Texture, Faces, Order, Language . . . Whereas the Line Paintings remain an important focus of my work, lookiing at the entire body of it shows how it has developed from rough and tumble steel and found object sculpture to clean cut abstraction and on to include figure imagery, portraiture and a number of conceptual formats. Art to me is a creative response to life. I mix the new with the old: old ideas, new technologies and vise versa. The future, new and daring, rooted in the past. Over the years two broad categories of work have evolved: the Grids and Lattices and the Objects and Entities — over 25 series, all related in their own ways, each a unified body of work, each an exhibition in its own right.
